Phillip Weiss

Phillip Weiss has been endorsed by the District 16 Democratic-NPL Party as a candidate for the North Dakota House of Representatives. Weiss is a native of Fargo and a graduate of Fargo South who earned degrees in communications from MSUM and in psychology from NDSU. He worked in the service industry for many years, then continued his education at the University of Findley. For the past four years he has worked as a diagnostic medical sonographer in a variety of hospital settings.

According to Weiss, he is pro-education and an advocate for increased access to healthcare and eldercare. He supports reproductive freedom, more childcare resources, and policies to ease the economic burden on the middle class.

“I’m running because the current representatives in District 16 are so extreme that they don’t represent me or the values of the people living here. They voted against education, against school lunches, against reproductive rights, and childcare assistance. They voted for book bans and greater access to guns. That’s why I’m running,” he said.
